When did you start using CrossFit as an exercise program? December, 2011
What does CrossFit mean to you? You learn to push yourself to points that were never possible. You learn that your weaknesses will never become strengths until you face them head on. Holding yourself accountable is so important through life and it becomes very evident through CrossFit training.
What is you favorite thing about CrossFit Max Kane? I love coaching the athletes and seeing them achieve success where they said they said it wasn’t possible. The strength based programming has proven to be very beneficial in all aspects of the sport.
What are you favorite CrossFit related activities? I’m on the odd end of the spectrum, I love to see burpees, rowing, overheat squats and hero WODs on the whiteboard.
What is your favorite cheat meal? Cookies and cream ice cream but really any type of ice cream is fair game, I wouldn’t turn any kind down.
Tell us 1 more thing about yourself. I’m a father of three wonderful girls and have a wonderful wife that supports me in all I do. Family is an important part of my life and value everyday I get to spend with them.

I’ve grown up in the South Hall area all of my life. I graduated from Buford High School and later from Gwinnett Tech. I have a wonderful wife and three beautiful daughters that are always their to support me in whatever endeavors I may chase. I have always had a passion for sports no matter what is in season. I’ll watch, play, or read about any sport just to learn more about it.
I battled the weight issue for my entire life. As my children began to become active, I began to realize that I had to get control of my life so that I could set an example for them and so that I could keep up with them in their activities.
What got you started? I knew nothing about the sport of CrossFit but had seen CrossFit Max Kane’s advertisements around and started looking it up on the internet. After seeing that it was not your “normal” workout regime, I decided to give it a shot. I thought I was in shape after running in 5 and 10ks for over two years, but I had no idea what was I store for me. After my first intro class with Jeremy in December of 2011, I was hooked. My first WOD was on a Friday and it was a 7 minute AMRAP of wall balls and overhead walking lunges. Something so simple, broke me the entire weekend. Regardless of the soreness, I went back in on Monday and have not stopped since.
As my training went on, I became more motivated to help others learn the sport correctly and safely. Coming from where I was, to where I am now with CrossFit, I feel like I can help someone else reach their health goals in life. With my CF Level 1 Cert and the support of the other coaches at Max Kane, I look forward to making a difference in other lives.
