October Member Spotlight

Bertha Davis

Bertha has been a member with us for over a year and has made improvements in all areas of her fitness, become a consistent athlete in our 5:30 AM class, and has always focused on her fundamentals first. She always comes in with a smile on her face and is ready to tackle any workout thrown at her. Her positive attitude and willingness to learn has made her the perfect athlete for our Member Spotlight this month!

How did you hear about CrossFit and what was your first experience/WOD?

I heard about CrossFit looking through the internet for a local gym. I remember thinking at first how hard it was, but at the same time how much fun it was. Also, I was impressed with how much the coaches would pause to show me proper technique.

When did you first come to Max Kane?

March 2015

How many days do you CrossFit?

3-5 days a week

What do you do for a living?

I work at Northeast GA Medical Center as a Business System Analyst.

What motivates you/keeps you coming back to Max Kane?

The feeling of amazement after finishing a tough workout, the awesome coaches, their support and they know exactly when you need to be pushed more.

What  accomplishment are you the most proud of (outside and inside of the gym)?

There are just so many, but if I need to name they would be being able to finish a workout under or a heavier weight than previous times and able to complete any workout that calls for GHD reps.

What are some of your interests outside of CrossFit?

I enjoy watching my kids playing sports, live concerts and traveling.

What is one goal that you are currently working on?
